went fishing on the johnday yestreday caught more bass than I ever had at one time fishing used a black and chartruse twin tail on an 1/8 ounce jig and riped it in as fast as I could also tried small spiner baits green was prefed color buty it didn't matter even swiched to top water in the evning becuase I ran out of plastic and had to switch up we fished just outside of wasco. It is definetly worth the drive

A friend and I "floated" (58cfs) four miles of the JD near Twikenham last Thursday. Drugged my Gheenoe-draws three inches- thru a few riffles. Rigged up John with nose-hooked de-tailed Speedworms; lots of dinks altho he fooled a 17"er. Me? What's more fun than having a Tiny Torpedo getting blasted on top.
Noticed the sending unit at Service Creek is malfunctioning. The river's so low that the gaskets must've dried out. graemlins/1zhelp.gif
