Good day to everyone,.
The fishing has been great, Went out Tuesday, hooked fish from the time we hit the water. I would say there wasn't a hottest time of the day. It stayed pretty consistant.
With the cooler temps on Tuesday there were very few recreational boats on the water. Most of the fish caught were staged in water 15-25 feet deep. We did catch fish shallower in the AM. Ave fish 1 to 3 lbs we had two that were touching 4 lbs.
And don't forget lots of little ones, the bait could probly eaten if it were alive. (Tail biters)
Caught fish under the docks and on the rock piles.
We were throwing crankbaits and plastics, Most of the fish came on cranks while reeling them at a slow pace and hitting bottom on occation. Plastics were a very slow drag and let it sit.
With one fish my client was so excited he decided to kiss it upon getting it in. I caught that on Camera. (Posting later, once developed) The fish was a tail dancer and when it came from 20 ft of water it had some air.
Heading out again tomorrow with a father and son, for a full day on the CR & WR
Siltcoos next week flipping for largemouth.
Then Wallowa lake for my BD. Boat slip and a camping site on the water. It's a beautiful thing.
Get into the action there's Lots of fishing going on and it will only get better with cooler temps on their way.
