Ok I am a heavy handed tier and I was wondering if any of you all have used the power silk or any of the other super strong thread out there for tying. It looks to good to be true but you never know. I just seem to break a lot of thread wile tying littler flies with lighter thread. Rp

Chromer, I have used the power silk, but make sure you get the pre waxed stuff or you will be dropping wax on the spools of thead with a candle. I always use 6/0 threads for small flies that need some tension. If you need something stronger i suggest Kevlar thread. its larger in diameter but you wont break it. Good luck. :cheers:
