Good areas around Tillamook and south...

I will be down at the beach this weekend from the 23rd until the 27th. Staying around Neskowin. I was wondering where would be a good area to fish for Steelys on fly. I heard the Trask was doing good but never fished there and wouldn't have any idea of where to fish. How about Nestucca and three rivers area or the Wilson?

What flies would you reccommend? Same stuff that you would use on the clack?

Take trask river road over the river, then turn left. That will get you to the hatchery. There is some decent water above the hatchery. A little farther south you will find the Nestucca, and to the North the Wilson. What to bring is whatever works for you.

I will be in that neighborhood myself after Xmas. River levels look good, hopefully the fish are willing.

Great, thanks for the info. Is trask river road right off the main road when coming out of Tillamook?
