Where are you going fishing this weekend ?
Are the rivers all blown out ? or is there some good water out there ? I am thinking of one of the smaller coast streams or maybe Club property but I got to get out and get my line wet.
Is there anyone out there that is dying to see OFC pond water ?
PM me. Before 2:30 pm today.

No fly flinging for me this weekend. Going sturgeon fishing on the Columbia. The gators love the big flush of fresh water and the plethora of dead stuff to eat that comes with it.

I'm also thinking of hitting some OFC water sunday. I'm on full time daddy duty so it would have to be somewhere that I can hike or wade easily with the kid on my back. although LNF will tell me that with me there is no EASY wading, period!
Itching to get out though, and last time I ventured out, I ended up at sportsmans, not good, not good. Dangerous place when you are bored.

I hit the coast today hoping the rain would hold off a bit, but it rained like a mother all day. Everything was blown - Necanicum, North Fork Nehalem, Kilchis, Miami, Wilson. If we don't get another significant rain event, I would guess it will be Sunday before any of those approach fishable.
Somebody told me OFC has access to the property below the North Fork Nehalem hatchery. I am not an member and would love to tag along with somebody to fish that if you have access. There were lots of steelies in the hatchery trap when I stopped by today. :smash:

Greenbutt - I hope you didn't take that as criticism. Its just that I've never seen anyone try to teach their toddler to do the backstroke by putting them in a backpack and laying on top of them in a river. For the life of me, I'll never understand how his shoe ended up dry on the opposite bank downstream... perhaps it was when he tried to kick you back upright. Ahhh, the foibles of parenthood. If our kids ever find out what we have put them through we'll be in BIG trouble.

I think when they find out what you have put them through, they will give you a big "thank you Dad". :applause:

Cool beans issic. Maybe I can share with you a few of my Fav, spots. I will probaly start at the park and work me way down or up we will have to see what the color looks like. Also the Clack up higher like at mciver will clear faster cause the creeks on the lower part kick at more mud. rp
