Ok, since no one else wants to post a winter fish, I will start by entering these two...

PTS is a participant so he needs to give us a measurement on this fish and post it here. Unless that's your fish then unfortuanately you did not sign up for the challenge and are ineliglble :shrug:

Nice piece of steel! I gather from your post elsewhere this would be PTS holding your fish, Ben?:grin: If I am wrong and it turns out this is in fact PTS's catch, how about a size guesstimate to get us motivated.
This might be a good time to list the participants and confirm that each entrant, with their casting hand laid upon the Compleat Angler, does solemnly swear they will honor the entrance fee of one fly and will, upon closure of this challenge, promptly mail, or administer in the presence of other Ifishflyfisher who may or may not be quaffing cold adult beverages, said entrance fly. Stew?

I don't have a copy of the Compleat Angler, but I do solemnly swear on a copy of the Biology of Fishes scribed and inscribed by one of my most influential mentors, Dr. Carl Bond.
I will honor the entrance fee of one fly (a Silver Red Francis) and will, upon closure of this challenge, administer in the presence of other Ifishflyfishers who will most certainly be quaffing cold adult beverages, said entrance fly.
I didn't bother to measure the fish because no way it is going to be long enough to win. The tail doesn't even drag while being carried. I fish three to four days during the week, usually alone, so I asked Ben to post this for me so I would at least have a picture. I don't have a camera. My best winters so far this season are two 33 inchers. I just hope there is someone around with a camera when I catch the winner. :laugh:
