Not enough time to go to Tbay this Sunday, I thought I might fish the Willamette up or down from the Boone (I-5) bridge. I've had some success in the few times I've fished there, mostly with crankbaits near the Molalla confluene. I've had no luck with plastics in along the shore. Any thoughts on technicque, location and time of day? I never see anyone out bass fishing in the area. Do any of you fish this section?

This time of year late afternoon to early evening is best. Try curly tails or troll a crank bait. As the sun sets watch for rises and casta top water where they are rising. If you fly fish try a popper or a marabou muddler fished shallow. The Molalla confluence is good as is the opposite bank among the trees and logs.
