fishing for bass where the perch are is a good idea and that is usually what I try to do. Also fishing around all the brush piles and logs is good.

The water has been so low at Hagg that the normal areas that held fish are now beaches. I still like the areas just off the mouths of the creeks, Tanner, Scoggins and Seine. The fish are in the deeper water where they come out. If it wasn't for the million and one boats trying to speed in the small area that is left, I would even suggest the area near the dam.

How deep are the bass right now? Are there any shallow ledges left for thenm to move into in the morning? Thanks
fished hagg tuesday and caught about 100 perch (4-8"), 8 trout (10-15") and a smallmouth about 4 lbs!(largest bass i have caught there) caught all of the perch on a wedding ring with a strip of perch. caught all of the trout on that same setup. the odd thing was is i caught the trout in about 10 feet of water (do they feed on perch?). I caught the bass trolling a rebel crawdad where all of the perch were. I marked many big fish on the fish finder in the shallows where the perch are. hard to get the bass to bite when they are so full of perch images/icons/rolleyes.gif images/icons/rolleyes.gif images/icons/rolleyes.gif
