Here is the list of participants so far.

1.Tanner and Son Cameron - Boater (Could fish one more no problem).

2.Jeff - Boater (May have two other people - Please verify ASAP)

3.Aaron - Boater (Has room for one more)

4.Kaus - Boater (Are you coming? If so will you have someone with you?)

5.Mike (Hey Yall) - Non Boater (One of us can pull him behind our boat in an innertube)

6. High School Fisherman - ?

Lets get a final talley on this so we can plan on how this is going to work Saturday Morning.
I'll be fishing Cullaby Saturday regardless.
If everyone is coming maybe we should think about doing a BBQ at the park afterwards.

I will also post the directions so everyone can find their way. Ah Heck, I'll do it here:
From Portland - Hwy 26 to Seaside, Go through Seaside and Continue North on 101. Not to long after you get out of Gearhart you will see a big brown sign on the right that says Cullaby Lake. Turn right at the sign and follow to the boat ramp on the north end of the lake. Do not take the turn off to the park. It does not open until 8:00 AM. (How Lame)

Coming from Vancouver - I-5 North to Longview. Go into Longview and cross the bridge to the Oregon side. Head west on Hwy 30 to Astoria. Go through Astoria and head south on Hwy 101. Look for the Cullaby Lake sign on the left (Should be a ways past Fort Stevens. If you get into Gearhart turn around you went a couple of miles too far).

Depending on where in Vancouver you are coming from it may be quicker to go through Portland and take the Hwy 26 route through Seaside.

Last time I drove there it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes from Lake Oswego which is just South of Portland.

I have never been to the ramp at the north end of the lake so if my directions are wrong, someone please correct me.

Remember 6:30 A.M. Saturday morning is the "Shotgun Start".

My spot in the boat has been filled. I will see everyone there!

Also, the north end launch will be on the main road into the lake on the left. You will cross a little wooden bridge on the way to it. If you come to a locked gate, you are at the wrong launch.

I can't verify my attendance quite yet, my wife is about to explode pregnant and were still trying to figure out if we can go that far from our hosipital safely(She's due Aug 29th). I am REALLY hoping to be able to attend though.

At this moment I am planning to be there.
Start time is 6:30am, correct?
Is there a pre-fish meeting before 6:30?
Or will it be a wait and see how many show up.
Items we'll need are- camera, tape measure, scale. Anything else to compete?
No live well correct ? Catch, measure and release?

Kaus - catch, measure, click, and release. The click is optional, but the pics could be posted to the board.

You might also think about bringing rods, reels, and tackle images/icons/tongue.gif images/icons/tongue.gif

Nanner - shoot me an email.

Kaus,
You got it. I think we should plan on meeting at the ramp at 6:00.

I will be sleeping on my boat in the lake cause I'm putting in at the Park the night before. (I will have all of the big bass I catch from the previous day tethered to certain spots in the lake so I can just go get em and win the tournament images/icons/grin.gif )

Tourney will start at 6:30 AM Sharp! So everyone who is coming be ready.

Does anyone have any interest in doing a barbeque at the park afterwards? Looks like the weather is going to be really nice. Might be kinda windy though

Yeh, a BBQ sounds good. I'm going to bring a dozen octoberfest dogs and buns and some condiments. I'll see if I can get the BBQ loaded up. If anyone wants, bring some chips, and whatever you want on an octoberfest dog. I'll bring some refreshments too.

I'll see everyone at the ramp at 6:00.

Jellyhead won the tournament with to nice bass. I dont remember if tanner's boat picked any up. I caught one little one. And now, Thanks to Jellyhead. Im addicted to topwater... topwater topwater topwater images/icons/grin.gif My favorite part is when that bid ole bass comes rippin outa the water and WHAM! slams that bait and takes off runnin.. FUN! images/icons/shocked.gif

Had a great time at the Bassathon. Wish more guys could have come but it was still a lot of fun to meet other ifisher's and see ones again that I've already met.
Jellyhead and Dustin cleaned up.
Redneck, Cameron and I got the big goose egg. (Well, I did catch a nice sized yellow perch.)
Anyway, after the tournament, I dropped redneck back off at his truck at the other ramp and Cameron and I went back out to fish the last couple hours of the day. Within a half hour, I caught two small bass and a nice 4 pounder. Got all of them on a smoke with big black flake senko fished weightless.

Um, yeh, I slept in. images/icons/rolleyes.gif But I still won. Two bass images/icons/grin.gif It was a tough day really. I'm still amazed everyone didn't just lay waste to em' down there. Noramally with the good weather that we had the bite would have been ON!

Dustin is now an addict. I even heard words of something like "I'd like to have a bass boat" and "boy this is a nice boat" etc, etc. Look out guys, we might have another cross-over into the spiny world images/icons/wink.gif images/icons/grin.gif

It was nice to actually put faces with the monikers. Tanner, Hey yal and cameron were great guys. I'm gonna have to keep my eyes out for Cameron, He's gonna be out fishin' me before long.

Well, until next year, everyone can just refer to me as the "BASS KING" images/icons/grin.gif I'd also like to thank the two little largemouth that helped me earn this title. And I'd like to thank all that attended. We'll have to do it again next year. And I promise I'll be there on time images/icons/rolleyes.gif
