Another Tenmile report

Fished Tenmile again this morning, 20 fish in about 4 1/2 hours, nothing of any great size though. Does anyone on the board have an idea where the big fish are hanging this time of year?

I've only fished Ten Mile one time. Thanks for the report. I would really like to fish it again. Another one down there that I have heard is real good is Tahkenetch (sp?)

I read st one time that Tenmile Lake is managed for "numbers rather than size" of bass.

While I can't imagine how this would be accomplished, every report I've read whether recreational or tournament seems to substantiate it.

The biggest Bass I've caught out of tenmile went 6lbs, however I've seen them over 8lbs out of the lake. That fish was caught in winger off of rocky pt. My family still has the property on the creek and I grew up fishing the lake. But I haven't really fished the lake enough in the last 6 years to know where they are. If I had to make a recommendation try School land bay or the back side of the island. Fishing deeper water off of docks. If you want to catch several fish that are 2-3lbs try fishing a buzz bait at night in the shallows. That's all I really feel comfortable giving away for now since I haven't fished there since the Crappie screwed everything up. Maybe someone that lives there still would be able to help. Also, a birdy told me that anchoring out in front of the county docks and fishing worms and powerbait on the bottom has been yielding trout from 14-22"

We have 5 acres on North Lake, 200 yeards north of Camp Easter Seals.
The fishing has been great lately.. my 3 year old daughter caught a 4+ pounder off the dock last thursday night... almost as big as the one she caught the week before..
There are some bigg bass around.. lots of bluegil as well.
We like to through crankbaits and lizard carolina rigged.
