There are two ramps at Cullaby Lake. There is one at the north end of the lake and one at the State Park. The one at the State Park is a really nice ramp with a good dock but it does not open until 8:00 A.M. The one at the north end of the lake is open 24 hrs but sounds like it is a steep gravel ramp that goes into pretty shallow water.

I put in at the State Park ramp and found out the hard way that it closes at 9:00 P.M.
(The camp host was not real pleased when he had to come open the gate for me.)

I did not get a chance to get a look at the north end ramp because it was dark by the time we got off of the water. If we want to start the tournament at 6:30 we are going to have to use the ramp at the north end of the lake. I just don't know how suitable it is for bigger boats.

My son and I are planning on going down the night before, putting in at the State Park and sleeping in the boat.

As far as camping goes. The only camping I found nearby is Fort Stevens State park. There is also a campground when you first come into Seaside (comming from Portland).

I will post more info as I get it.

Is this the kind of lake I could get by fishing from my drift boat w/o a motor or do you need to be able o cover more water. Thanks.

You can also camp across the road and North a bit. Take a left at the Astoria Golf and Country Club and travel towards the ocean.
Sunset Lake RV and trailor has camping. It's cool there cuz you can fish for catfish at night, right from your campsite.

Yeah you could fish it out of a driftboat. The entire lake looks very "bassy".
