I wil give a full report when I return home. I was wondering if any of you ifishers very fished for striped bass before. I have caught one accidently while fishing for sea run cutthroats..

Well FNF, Srippers would have been a better choice than stripers. We didnt fish for stripers. The wind was howling down on the south coast. Its kinda hard to anchor a 21 foot sled with a hard top in the wind. The dang thing doesnt want to stay in one place.
I did fish off the jetty at Bandon and managed a couple nice stripped perch and a kelp greenling.

Has anyone actually ever succesfully taken there wife with them out on the Jetty? My wife likes to come fishing occasionaly, and she always picks the jetty trips because there at the beach. Anyways we usually would bring some friends and head out at the right tide. Bout halfway out my wife is done walking, so thats where I'm fishing images/icons/mad.gif . My friends continue on down the jetty and catch fish all day, while I sit there and wiggle my pole!!

stripers are one fish that I have tried. What kind of tackle do you use?
