We've had some great times this fall and we still have weeks and weeks to go
Although catching lots of fish is part of it there is so much more. After all, no matter how good of a fisherman you are there are days that the weather or the fish are not going to go in your favor.
Catching that first salmon or steelhead, the stories shared or made, getting to know a loved one better, a peacefull invironment, and time with old friends are just some of what makes these trips special to so many people.
Many memories have been made this fall, some with long time clients and old friends and some with new ones.
Here are just a few of them.

Ed has been fishing fall chinook with me on Tillamook Bay since I started guiding. The last three trips he's been on he's gotten his limit

Jimmy and Chris started fishing with me last November and since then they have had great trips on a number of fisheries from winter steelhead to estuary sturgeon to fall chinook

One evening I got a call from my old high school English teacher Mr. Wells. He's retired now and had seen me out on the water. He decided to give me a call and book a trip for him and his fishing partner.
I've had a number of successfull father and son trips too. It's great to have two or more generations spending quality time on the water.

The Debben's joined me from eastern Washington for their first anual salmon fishing trip

Isaac joined his father and some other guys from thier church for a fall chinook trip. At 14 his only fishing expereince was catching catfish on his grandpa's pond. Isaac had never casted a level wind but after a few minor backlashes he had it mastered and in a few hours he was into his first ever salmon
Another trip I look forward to is the anual Tillamook
Bay-October G Loomis/Fisherman's Marine trip. Two Sundays ago I had the pleasure of fishing with Robert, Tim, Mike and Jesse from the Oregon City Store. We got into a smokin' bite and within about three hours we had nine chinook in the box, several lost or missed and several silvers released. When it was all said and done we had five doubles :yay:
