Ok I finally think I have this photo thing figured out. Thanks a bunch to Woody for coming over and giving me a lesson. This pic was back in June during the salmon fly hatch. Caught some of the largest fish of my 28 years of fishing the big D. Of course I had to bring a couple home for the in laws dinner. It is an anual thing they have come to expect. These 2 eluwsive keeper size trout came on the last stop just above and across from Harpin flat.

We had a great 4 days and it started pouring just as we pulled out onto the access road. http://www.ifish.net/gallery/data/500/medium/4678Greg_with_fish_resized.jpg This is my buddy 24 on 48 off with a nice fat redside caught up near Buckskin the last morning on the float out.

Try this, you gotta use the image button down below. http://www.ifish.net/gallery/data/500/medium/4678Brian_with_keeperssmall.jpg
Not flaming you at all aj but it's too bad those beautiful and wild fish couldn't have been released unharmed. I realize also that those fish were harvested legally it just would have been nice to see fish like that released for someone else to enjoy
Just my opinion

AJ,
You have right to do what you please when complying with the law. Keep in mind there are a lot of people that fish the Deschutes and I can tell you if you kill trout you are a major exception. There is a difference betwen the regs and the standard ethics on the river.

Mod note here (yes, you woke me up again!!!)
If we want people to share their trips and experiences then those of you who choose to critize someones post or tear them down will only cause people to stop posting.
If someone is willing to share something that is legal and your personal beliefs are not the same then just butt out.
If you want to start a separate thread to discuss your ethical beliefs then feel free to do so. Stepping into someone else's post to express a personal view will be looked at as a flame whether your intention is to flame or not.
Want to educate someone, start your own thread and those who want to discuss the topic can jump in without someone elses thread being hijacked.
AJ: nice pics and thanks for sharing. I am sorry I had to put the mod note here but....
Giz... :flowered: :flowered:
It was not my intention to flame aj for his picture and if he was insulted then I apologize to him.
I won't apologize for my catch and release beliefs however. They are a part of my fishing life and I came by them from years of soul searching.
So all I'm saying is if you want to legally kill a wild fish then that is your prerogative. Just don't expect alot of people on this board to slap you on the back and say "Good job" when a picture is posted.
With all the "ego" photos on the main board (Yes I've posted many over there in the past) I would hope we could come here for a small respite from that type of thing.
