Should you only use it while storing the boat? Or all the time if you have a boat that you only use like 10-20 hours a year?
Thanks,
Mike

Fuel breaks down no matter the weather. If you don't use the boat much, I think I'd be keepin' some Sta-bil in the tank...

After the first hard freeze, I add stabilizer and keep the tank full. Less chance any condensation can get in the tank if it's full.... I do the same for my truck during the winter. JMHO....

I'll disagree...
Fuel, especially the lead free stuff (you have no other choice) goes bad quickly.

I'd rather deal with a little moisture (Racor fixtures FIXthis problem) than a tank of bad gas.

Do some research and you'll come to your own conclusion. Check out yachtsurvey.com for more info than you can shake a stick at.

I do the off season thing a little differently.

First I use my in the summer a lot more than 10 to 20hrs.

When I plan to put it away for the winter I make sure tank is full add stabilizer run engine long enough to make sure its in the carb, put heat in the bilge and every 30 days or so hook up the hose run engine to warm-up.

Can`t tell any difference in gas come spring, 10yrs and going strong, works for me no long months of down time from the boats point of view.

Another idea: Go fishing at least once a month all year
