Could someone tell me how to choose a new prop for my boat.
old one has a chunk out of it. long story that I would rather not get into. So I was looking on line for a replacement and I was very confused. size and pitch how does one determine these things. I have a 19.5 bayliner with a 115HP merc alpha 1 I/O but I am not sure how to measure the current prop. Size is circum ? and what about pitch? I am sure there are lots of you that can explain this but I can't find any info in the owners manuel on prop size. Thanks for any help.

Look on the prop for numbers which will translate into the info you are looking for. The numbers should be around the hub area. After you get the numbers P.M. me as I have an extra "rebuilt" prop that came off something similer to yours.

We also have demo props that you can use for no charge as long as it's not damaged. Could be an opportunity to try a stainless or 4 blade or? depending on budget and performance desires.
