kicker question.

I have a 6hp yamaha 4 stroke kicker engine. I want to run it off the main fuel line on my boat, it has an extra fuel fitting running off the fuel filter with on/off valve. the problem is everytime i attach the kicker gas line and start the engine the fuel bulb collapses after running for a few minutes and the engine quites.

why does this happen? someone suggested that i keep the bulb pump verticle while running but it did not work. very fustrating. any help would be greatly apprieciated! :grin:

Look on the bulb for an arrow. If the bulb is pointing away from the engine would get the flat bulb. Is it a new bulb? If not you might try a new one.

Either that or it's not getting enough fuel (or air) and it's sucking the hose dry.
Inadequate venting will do the same thing, but then your main motor wouldn't run, either. :whazzup:
