So the nephew and I were flyfishing the upper Kilchis yesterday for searuns? and we came accross a very interesting sight: perched out in the middle of the river high and dry was a fully inflated Bonzai Donut! We pulled it off to the shore in hopes that someone might find and claim it. About 100 yds upstream we then came accross a fully distended tent in the river, flowing gracefully in the water! I pulled the material up on a rock, but could not dislodge the main body. All I can say is: from China to the Kilchis! What a trip these items have made! I think we were about half a mile above the park on the river road. I was speechless (except for a FEW words!) We speculated that someone had lost the items in the lates flood. But is that an excuse? On the upside: found a Goddards caddis to be a super little fly!
Have fun and watch out for trash and treasures on our wonderful streams!

Someone must have had a wild weekend! Wonder what they remember?

Last I heard about the Kilchis was about a large mud slide. How did the river look?
