That sure made me feel dumb...Lost rod and reel !

Boy, I sure did it this time! While trolling today out of Hammond, Oregon side, just out toward 20 in the channel, client starts to get bit...I quickly pull off a couple strips of line...rod still in rod holder...as I strip it off, the fish grabs it, and...A LOOMIS 8 ft. BACKBOUNCER GL3 ROD AND CALCUTTA 400 REEL GO AWAY!!! Plus, full spool of TUFF LINE, DELTA DIVER and FISH FLASH!

It happend today, 8/25. REWARD OFFERED!

There were only 400 boats in the area, I'm sure someone got ahold of it!

This happened to my cousin a couple years back. He was fishing the Spark Plug, hooked up and when removing the rod from the holder he FUMBLED it.

Brand new Loomis and 6501 ambassador.

A few days later I'm reading Ifish and some dude landed a big chinook with a trailing line.

He hand lined in the trailer and was rewarded with my cousins new combo.

I told Derek about it and suggested he contact the guy - can't remmeber who it was - Derek never did follow up so the guy kept his double whammy.
