Whew, Just got back from fishing a club tourney over at crane this last weekend. The fish were in a playing mood, at least for me. Five fish on Sat With a bag of 19.59 anchored by a 5.09 biggun. (My personal best) Ended up With Big fish and a Second place finish. Sunday I move to a different area and did even better.  Again five fish at 20.78 with big fish being a 5.14 bruser. Now I have bested my record again. :yay: Sunday Managed Third place. Guess People started to figure things out. Four limits on sunday over 20lbs. 1st Place weight was 22.1lbs.

Do any tube baits work there at Crane? I picked up a couple things today at wal mart for Crane. 6 inch night crawler in pumpkin seed. And tequilla sunrise 4 inch power worm. Those work good?

In a tourney there a few years ago, my partner and I placed second with 38-4. The winning team had 42-6. All four of us primarily pitched 7" black or june bug Power worms into the shadows of logs and root wads. There are more fun ways to catch bass at Crane, but very few are as effective.

Very nice! Hey I went to Wal Mart today and they said that they dont carry rattlesnake worms. You said GI joes does? What do they look like? I may have some but not knowing it they may just be sitting right infront of my face.

Nice catch Hagen. Not too many people here in Salem that I know of that do very much bass fishing. I have been out of it for about 10 years but reallygetting back into it this year. I've been needing to find some lakes, ponds etc. that produces big bass!!!! Great catch.

Hagen, Nice bunch of fish. I thought Tenmile was good fishing. Your fish would eat my fish and still be looking for more. I'm going to be in Sunriver this weekend and have never fished Crane. I'd love to go find some bass, but it looks like an enormous lake!!! Could you narrow it down for me a little? Were you finding the fish shallow or in the creek channels? Close to the dam or way up one of the arms? Any advise which ramp to launch at so I don't have to travel 2 miles with my 3 1/2 horse motor!!

Thanks!!
