What would you be using for bass when fishing crane prarie? I am new to this and just moved over into this area and have a chance to get out there with a friend. But I really need to know what to use, at what depths, ect... Thanks guys.

What ever you use don't use senko's around the trees. Spinner baits in the morning along the shore line. Crankbaits near the points and rock fingers that are out in the water. Most of the fish should be out in the 6 to 10 range now. I will be heading over next weekend for a tourney. Using the Methods above. Let us know how you do.

I was talking with my dads friend who wants take us trout fishing. He says we can fish for bass as well but we will be trolling. So what do I do now? Doesnt that just mess everything up?

If you are going for trout that limits you quite a bit. But if you are trolling with rapalas you might get a few bass. you could also still try using a crank bait that will bump the bottom. Never know what you will get. If you anchor up to a tree try throwing the senkos at every tree within your reach. If you are camping try walking the shore line where accessable and throw a spinnerbait. Hope you can convince them to spend a little time fishing for the Bass.

Well guys, I talked with my dad and his friend tonight. They really wanna bass fish because they hear it is hot. Their only thing is, all of us dont have an idea of what to do at all. I have ALL the bass stuff in the world you can think of when I bought it from a guy here on ifish.net
But we dont know where on crane prarie to go, and what to use. Is it better to troll or anchor? I think we would like to try some trolling and anchoring but what should I use when trolling? Do tube bait work well there? How deep do you let your plastics go down before you reel them in? ALl the info. I can get would be great. Also what parts of the lake? Middle? sides? what places should we work the hardest?
What times of day are the best to be out there?
Thanks a bunch this helps me a ton!
