John Day Float July 24

In May there was interest in having a rodeo on the John Day:

So...Are we going to touch this cannon off or what?
The flow has been averaging 2.5 times the norm (7/11 latest forecast shows that the flow should be nearing 300cfs by the 24th; that's skinny water for DBs).
Good camping can be found nine miles south of Fossil at the Shelton Wayside. It's up in the hills and will be cooler than the valley floor.
The weekend of July 24th is best for me since I'm off Friday noon to Monday am.
