AHHHH...First little camping trip of the year, to Cottage Grove Res. What kind of pattern might I be looking at this Thurs thru Sat.? I've done well on topwaters early and late, and 6-7" blk/blu/purple worms dropped at weed edges. Also, a fish or two on medium depth baby bass pattern cranks and wht/chart spinnerbaits.
We usually fish from first light (or before) 'till about 11:00am and then come in have lunch, nap, a beer, dinner, then get back on the water just before the sun goes behind the hill and fish 'till dark.
I'd also heard there were a load bull bluegill in CG, couldn't find a one where the guy at the Eugene tackle shop said to fish.
In past years we've been down there late in July, but I couldn't get a lakeside camping spot then, it's amazing how those lakeside sites fill up in Feb. I just hope the water isn't way cold this early in July, seeing as you have to wade in it to get your boat off the shore at the campground!
Any INFO from EBC guys or anyone else greatly appreciated!
Thanx
