Keeping with tradition here is my history:

As the name implies I grew up in Alabama. I have been fishing for bass for 20years or 2/3 of my life. I fished most the TVA(Tenessee valley Authority) series of impoundments in Northern Bama, specifically Lake Wheeler. Not long into my fishing life milfoil began growing in the Tennessee River system. You would not belive the quality of Bass fishing in these lakes for ten years or so!!! As the grass went away (thanks to carps that were planted), I began to fish the deeper end of the lake. In the deep rocky part of Lake Wheeler one can catch HUGE smallies and nice striped bass--It was love at first bite with the smallmouths.

I moved to Oregon to go to school, UofO, and have been here ever since. I just started fishing on a regular basis this Spring. Living in Downtown Portland has made fishing the Willamette pretty handy. I have made some good catches around town in the past three weeks-- I fish from the bank always because a boat I have not. This is a real blessing, for there are lots and lots of good bankable water in Portland. I am interest in Ifish not because am looking for places to fish or what to catch 'em on, but rather I like to hear stories...and hope to meet some people around town who fish for these crazy little bass.

If you like to fish from the bank and want to fish with a stranger/reformed redneck my email is phobeomai@yahoo.com (heck I'll take you to one of my spots)

Good Fishing, Bamaboy (aka Rick Yarbrough)
