Bucketmouth and I hit the West Linn ramp at around 5:30 and proceeded down to within sight of the falls. We were getting a fair amount of bites and hits on small plastics along the rocks, landing a few dinks (I was having trouble getting a good hookset, blaming the 5" salamander more than myself ).

We trolled along, up and down the banks, with some downtime as we had a fuse break off--killing the trolling motor... it took a little bit to pry the fuse carcass out of the cable, but we were once again off and running.

The conditions were quite good--clear skies, not much in the way of traffic; and the water was clear, but not enough to spook the fish.

We got some more bites on crankbaits and plastics, but really didn't hit into anything big, but all in all, it was a gorgeous day on the Willie and thanks again for the fun bud! We will knock them out next time!!

For me, it was awesome to be out on the water instead of standing next to it, even if we got skunked, it would have been worth the good company and brilliant scenery.

Edit: I think we were done in when a beaver decided to shadow us, thereby ruining any late evening chances.... :jester:

Edit #2: I was fishing left-handed for a good portion of the trip.
