I took my 13 year old daughter out last night to fish our way around the skiers, wake-boarders and assorted other yahoos to catch some bass. The ole dropshot tube was the ticket. We landed 22 between the two of us and the biggest was right at 19". What a toad!

It was wonderful to step out of the daily dance we do trying to get her to do her chores, not terrorize her little sisters and do something active other than clicking her mouse. She hooked them reeled them in and I threw them back and reloaded the "Bass Feast" on her tube.

Alittle more of this and alittle less e-mail and the TV and we'll smooth out the bumps.

Great Story . Any time the kids catch fish is a good thing . We need to keep kids interested and taught in the proper ways to enjoy the GREAT OUTDOORS .
How deep of water were you catching your bass in ?
Keep up the good times with your kids . :jester: :yay:   :angel1:

We caught a couple close to shore by some docks. However, most of the fish we would power up to the head of some faster boily water in the middle of the river and drift with the current. The depth varied from 6 to 10 ft scatterd boulders on the bottom. We used 3" Outlaw Olive Salty Tubes slathered with Bass Feast Smelly Jelly. We also caught a couple at the end with a silver baby hotlips. It was perfect for the depth because you would feel the lip dig into the bottom evey few feet.

Of course Kelsey outfished me like she usually does.

Looking to take my 15 year old daughter out this weekend. Have never fished the upper Willamette. I live in Portland. Can you tell me where or which boat ramp to use. I'm not trying to find anybody's secret spot just trying to get pointed in the right direction.
