Whopper Stopper

I posted a while back that I thrashed Cullaby and Sunset to no avail three weeks ago. I gave Cullaby another try last Friday. I launched my float tube from the dock on the north end and immediately found I had a good-sized air leak. So what does any sane man do but proceed to fin across the lake of course. Every five munutes or so I would have to strap down my rods, lean way back and twist to the right and blow up the deflating tube. If I waited too long I would have to wade ashore and get it all-the-way reinflated. The good news is there are bass in Cullaby that seem to like a white spinnerbait. I picked up my first one in about 4 feet of water off the point (2 lbs). I picked up the second skipping the bait back under an overhanging tree (2 1/2 lbs) and finally got the third (3 lbs) from under a dock by the outlet. I got tired of reblowing up my sinking boat by 10:00 and went home. I guess it's time to break out the tire patch kit.
