This might be a long shot, but I live 2 miles from the long Tom River by Junction City, and being a 13 year old, it is close enough to ride my bike and boat down there to do some fishing. Does anyone know what to fish for/with?

if I go to my grandparents this summer, we might be able to hook up. I noticed you like to go to prineville, my cousins and I go there for a week and I take my boat and go crappie fishing. Fun place.

The river is loaded or used to be with warmwater fish. Crappie jigs of course for the smaller species but their probably more concentrated on the deeper wood now and bass can probably be targeted with topwater early and then texas riggin a worm around wood. The area around Monroe used to be good for us.

I don't know much about it around J. City, but I used to fish it alot with my wife's cousin around Elmira. We would use spinners, and catch alot of nice little rainbows and the occasional 13 and 14 incher in the deep holes. We would also catch alot of little bass. We never did catch any bass of any size. We liked to use smaller panther martins, and blue foxes. We would hike the river for a couple of miles fishing all the holes. A great little river.
Good Luck.

Rumor has it.....that its got some serious sized bass in there. That might hit a white spinnerbait tossed to trees and cuts. Just a rumor, but...

I caught a 6+ pound bass on a black leach, a 2 pound carp, and several 8-9 inch cats.
