John Day Report?

Has any one been to the John Day recently? If so what is it fishing like?

My buddy and I are thinking of floating it possibly this weekend, but we havent heard any reports as of yet.

Floated an eight mile section around Clarno Sunday; had so much fun in Clarno Rapids, I ran it three times. One 19"er and seventeen 12 inches and above(I don't keep track of dinks) in 4.5,5 hours. A few were taken on a clear Baby Torpedo; I love a top-water bite...nothin' much more funner!!(pardon the syntax).

Thanks for the report. A friend & I will be camped at Service Creek this Friday - Tues, drifting daily. :dance: Sounds like the water will be about right.
