 Any ane flyfish for Northrens? We do here,in the spring when they are in the weeds(it's fun but hard work)
We use a mouse, gray-- or a baby duck, yellow thats 4 or 5" long. We use a very short tipit like two feet made out of 20 and 30lbs mono. Pike don't seam to be line shy at all this time of year. Lots of work to flip thoes big and heavy flys...

Gizmo Man,
He's in Montana.

Zonkers are great flies for pike, as are bunny leeches. You might look into some of the newer synthetic material style streamers. I've used them and they shed water, so they cast easily. Tie them unweighted, so you can fish shallow water without snagging the bottom. I hate chuck and duck streamer fishng, but sometimes the means justify the ends(....or something like that  ).
