Alright ive been saying this for the past two years, I need to get out and fish for these great fish. Not too familiar with coastal rivers, since I mostly fish the central and eastern part of the state, although the coast is a lot closer, weird huh. Well anyways, was wondering where a good place this time of year to hit for these small, but great fish, small creeks, rivers, I dont care, I just wanna get my fly wet for the first time this season. Thanks, any other info would be much appreciated.

Have you ever heard of fishhawk creek???? as your coming from Portland to the coast, jump off of Hwy 26 and head towards the Jewell wildlife meadows, keep heading on Hwy 202 towards Astoria, there is a waterfalls not far from the wildflife meadows, above it is some really nice fishing for native cutthroat, the creek follows the road. Lots of little pockets to fish, nothing really big, but its fun.
Good luck

We've covered this before with cutts. You can't fish for trout until May 29th on many rivers or streams. Check your regs before you go out.
