30# mainline to 40# leaders...20# dropper for the weight.

The inline float is to keep the wobbler off the bottom and giving the wobbler bouyancy. this will unaffect the action of the wobbler and aid in it's effectiveness when bank fishing.

10 foot rod or better as you need 35 to 50 feet of water for the fall fish.
12oz to 18oz depending on current and flows.

I'm kinda new to this salmon fishing. I was wondering how one goes about casting 14oz of lead?? :help: I've mainly fished at meldrum bar on the Willy for springers with 5 and 6oz sinkers, if I go much heavier my rig kinda just plops out there without going any distance.
Is it my rod?? (I've got a 9ft gator tail) Do I need a longer one?? :help: :shrug:

You did meldrum with 6oz ??? Good god we were using like 12oz

Longer is always better for casting distance.
