Hearing good reports of springers being caught from Astoria to the Longview bridge.More from bank anglers than from boats.This should give you a clue as to were to fish for these critters, shallow slow moving water.If you try to fish them like fall Chinook, you probably won't be as successful.Try 6 to 15 feet of water along the shoreline, and try adding some color or flash to your setup if you don't already have it.If you have a few people in your boat, put at least one pole out shallow, the rivers 44 degress, they don't have to be on the bottom to find the cold water.
