Monday is step one to help with the apnea to get the o2 level up at night. They will be rebuilding my nose and sinuses. This will be my first surgery so am a little worried. Also found some lumps in the scrotum and groin and am scheduled for ultra sound wed. Doc says he's tired of seeing my family, but feels we should be turning around anytime now. Didn't seem awfully concerned about the groin thing but the way things have been in the past, I can't help but be concerned. On strong antiboitics to see in lymph nodes in groin have infection, or if the lymph swelling is cause by the lima bean sized growth in the scrotum, but I don't feel a difference in a week of taking them and only have another week left. Have been walking every day and have not smoked in 5 weeks yesterday. :yay:  Any prayers would be helpful and inspiring. Thanks Mike

Congrats on the not smoking! Way to go!
And, I've had that surgery... or similar, I'm sure. They've worked on that area on me since I was four.
Anyhow, the worst part is the packing coming out! It's not that bad, either... but it will amaze you how much cotton they can stuff up your nose!
You will be so amazed at the results! When I had my last one, I didn't know breathing could be so good! It was amazing!

surgery went well, they broke my nose and straightened out the septum. broke and removed two bones, (one on each side) in my sinuses. and grafted extra cartilage to my nostrils to help them not collapse every time I take a breath. My face is still sore and numb at the same time, a very odd feeling. Jennie you were right, the packing thing was nasty. Had no idea they could fit soooo much up there. So, step 1 complete, fitting for the cpap machine in 6-8 weeks. Will start back with the walking (4 miles every other day) after tuesday. oh yeah, 6 weeks smoke free on friday. The Ultra sound of my groin, did show a cyst on my epididamus(tube from testicle to prostate) that is slightly infected and that is why the lymph nodes in that area are slightly swollen. Thank you Lord. Doc, called already this morning to let me know the results. He said he figured I would be worried so he called asap. That was very thoughtful. For all of you that have prayed for my family. Thank you so much. Mother in law is doing as well as can be expected by the way. May God bless all of you out there. Take care and thanks again. Mike and Lori. :yay:  :yay:

Thanking the Lord for a cyst, never thought I'd here that! But the alternative is quite scary. Glad the operation is successful. Your family is still in my prayers.
