Finishing a day of fishing with comments like this are what it's all about:
Hey David,
I've been on about a half dozen guided trips and I always have fun, but I
have to say today was the most enjoyable trip I've ever had. You're probably
sick of hearing that, but thanks again...
Day after day we've had some great times on the river. Here are a couple highlights of the last week or so:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Now that's what I call a Monday!
This year the spring chinook fishing on the Columbia was absolutely on fire with double digit days and limits common. It was like fishing at Bouy 10!
Like many, this morning started off with a bang, hooking fish on every pass! At 12:20 we were putting the last fish of our limit into the box and were on our way to clean them.

With the fishing so good I had been on the phone calling friends and family to get in on the bite and by the time I was saying good-bye to my morning crew Nick Amato was meeting me on the dock. We went out and made several passes with only a shaker sturgeon to show then we headed back down to pick up my family.
My mom and dad, wife and daughter joined us. By the time we got back out there the afternoon bite was snapping. In less than four hours we released one and kept six more.

My ten year old, Montanna, even got to bring in two

Ladies Day Out
Another great trip took place last Saturday.
Back in I donated a guided fishing trip to ifish.net to have a ladies only drawing to hopefully get some women out to sample some spring chinook. The trip was to be hosted by STGRule (one of the ifish moderators) me and my wife, Tesha. Mary and Gini were the winners.
This past Saturday was the big day that all had waited for. It started off cold and foggy.

But was soon sunny.
Tesha was the first to catch one.

And then it was Gini's turn, twice.

Both of her fish were un-clipped so we had to turn them back and didn't get any good pics.
All in all it was such a fun time, a must do for next year.
