My wife and I are trying to get pregnant and things just are not working out. She has had an issue with her body not doing what is required to get pregnant for many years now. We have visited specialists with histories of great success but to this day nothing. She has been on the diet kick and lost a great deal of weight hoping that would help things as the doctor "has seen it before" :hoboy: Well so far nothing has worked. Tried the clomifine in the strongest dose allowed and still her body won't respond. To say the least we are both very frustrated and upset about this situation. We are walking a very fine line trying to get pregnant as cysts develop on her ovaries and her mom developed ovarian cancer by this happening. As a result of this the doctors want to do a full hysterectomy because of family history but we still want a baby. The next step is injections but at 40 plus dollars an ampule and 5-6 ampules a time it is not cost effective for us to do this. Discussion on selling the truck and boat for money to do this has been real intense and it may come to this. Don't want it to but for a baby we would be willing just not sure we can get more for the boat than we owe on it. My wife and I pray everynight for this but with no luck and no signs of situation improving we are at a loss. Thanks for letting me vent a very frustrating situation and thanks in advance for any prayers. Tim

We'll pray. There are a lot of success stories out there, including some on this board. A preacher friend of mine and his wife went through this years ago. Very difficult...they now have four grown children, and are starting to think about grandchildren. The Lord cares for you!

Tim, I know exactly how you feel. My wife was told she wouldn't have children due to endometreosis. She was blessed through prayer with who is now my stepson. We tried for a few years, but ours was a race against cancer. (actually they called it pre-cancer). We miscarried 2 times before the cancer forced a radical hysterectomy at 26 years old. She had 4 procedures done before the last one. My prayers are with you both. I know that at this time the last thing you want to hear is adoption, but there are many, many children looking for the love and guidence of good hearted, strong faithed parents. We have been on "the list" in three different states, and have moved to better our situation before it was our turn. We couldn't, and still can't afford a private addoption, and have talked about getting back on the list but too many things are happening with my mother in laws and my health right now. My wife and I will pray in agreement that if it is the Lords will, he will grant you the child you desire. Mike and Lori. :bearhug:
