Some of you know about God's vision given to me about Hideout ministries. This vision is something i wasn't seeking or knew anything about. Music is a universal language and i understand that but then God put something on my heart that revolves around music and that is Hideout. Because of Hideout 55 people have given their lives to Christ and we are so fortunate to be in the right place at the right time but this story brings it all to life.

Just recently a 9yr old boy was roller blading in North Plains (a city north of Hillsboro) when he turned into the path of an oncoming car. Unfortunately he did not survive the collision. I had heard about this on the news and really felt bad because i have a 9yr old daughter and could not imagine this happening. A few days after this someone sent me an email indicating this boy went to Our Place Christian church in Hillsboro that is a huge supporter of Hideout (their senior pastor is on the board of directors). I read through the email and came to the portion that said and was written by the senior pastor "this child had accepted Christ through a Hideout Ministries event". WOW! that brought tears to my eyes for two reasons, 1) the 9yr old is not here with his parents and family and 2) because of Hideout we know he is with Jesus. Praise God! This gave an even stronger purpose to what Hideout is and even through tears and tragedy God's purpose is revealed. I spoke with the pastor today and i can't even begin to share with you the blessings and outpouring of God's family that has been displayed.

God bless everyone that reads this and I hope your life is filled with the Holy Spirit :angel1:

Blessings, Keith

That is awesome. On a much smaller scale I understand how you feel. I posted "please help" on the lig board about our last couple of years, and my recent diagnosis of emphysema,(at 39) and my mother in laws diagnosis of lung cancer 2 or 3 days later. I have recieved much support from ifish on that board and here in the chapel. I have found that there are people that have contacted me and are joining me in my quest to stop smoking, giving support and stories of thier successes and failures, and the best part is there are 19 of us quitting smoking. I was talking to my wife the other night, and wondered out loud if I "received" my diagnosis to post here, and what would become of the people that quit smoking. What if because the Lord moved me to write here, there may be another billy graham, or somebody that would not be here to bring other people to the Lord. We surely don't always understand why things happen, but I believe there is always a reason. We just may never know why, but HE does. Your story is very touching to KNOW that because of something YOU were moved to do, more people will be brought to the Lord. You're awesome. :applause:

I heard a person on the radio say " it is better to die young WITH CHRIST than to live to a ripe old age and die WITHOUT CHRIST".
I belive we will someday in heaven see the reasons WHY God did what He did, and on the other hand it wont matter if He , God lets us in on why HE did what HE did or not.
God has a mission for each one of us.

The way I look at it is some sow the seed, some water, the Holy Spirit makes the seed grow, and God does the harvesting, so keep planting and watering, and let the Holy Spirit and God do the rest.
Keep up the good work Keith and God will bless. :yay:
