Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. It was a time first observed by the first European settlers to the New World and later declared a national holiday by our government.
It is time to reflect and thank our Creator for all He has done. Although we should be doing that all the time.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:18 it says, "...give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
If we give the Lord thanks for "all circumstances", even during the bad times, we will not loose sight of who He is. He uses all things for our good if we let Him. He also knows that if we fix our sight on Him it is for our best interest. We become more aware of what God is capable of doing in our lives, and our faith increases.
Be thankful and have a wonderful time with family and friends this week, and safe travel to and from your destinations.
