Movin' on up, in my head I could hear that song they played on the TV show "Jeffersons"
After such an awesome first week of September in Astoria I was pumped to get back down there this past week. I guess I got spoiled all season 'cause after "Only" catching five fish (one chinook) on Sunday and eight on Monday (three chinook) I was starting to think about moving up river to follow the fish.
My hunches were confirmed when I got a call from a budy who put 10 chinook in the boat by noon on Monday.
I got on the horn and made plans to take my clients up river for my Tuesday trip.
It payed off :dance:

We were done at 1:30 with six chinook, two silvers and several jacks.
Three out of the four clients had never caught a salmon before, Ken and Rebecca from Utah had never caught anything bigger than catfish. They are coming back next year, but before they do they say they are going to lift some weights :smile:
Now for me it's a few days off to regroup and get ready for fall chinook at the coast and spend a little time with my family before the start of my coastal season on Monday.
