Early last Saturday morning my dad, my wife and my friend Bruce and I left on a fishing adventure to northern B.C.
Can you believe that I took a vacation from fishing just so I could ride in a car for 24 hours straight and then get up early and fish 'til 11 every night for seven days in a row?
If you know me you can
The scenery was incredible, the fishing was too. We saw a lot of wildlife and even stopped the car on the way up to watch the Northern Lights dance across the sky at 3 a.m.

It's the peak of the Chinook run and boy were we rewarded. We caught six 40+ pounders and Bruce released one at 50#.
Everyone but me broke there personal best on salmon.

My dad with his biggest-48 pounder!
I'm also proud of my wife Tesha, she baited hooks all day to keep the team fishing. She learned to net and once while we were having a shore lunch she learned how to catch humpies with a bobber and jig all on her own.
And of course she outfished us just about all the time :hoboy:
I didn't get that many digital pics as I was mostly using my 35mm. Maybe Bruce can post some more pictures he took on the main board.
I would also like to thank Bruce for the generosity of using his boat and truck for this adventure as well as for cooking breakfast and providing a great time graemlins/applause.gif .

Now it's back to work-I'll be starting my Astoria season this Saturday.....
