Got blown off C.J. Strike yesterday. 25mph winds will do that to you. Decided to try fishing the inside of the dike at Cove Arm for crappie. One problem, the water in Cove Arm is 49 degrees. We caught 8 really nice perch in an hour and a half though. The secret was fishing from a boat, anchored over the fish, and vertical jigging right off the bottom. Small crappie jigs, tipped with a little sumthin'-sumthin' for flavor (think icefishing tactics...). If you go, don't park next to the guys in the Super-Vee. They don't know what they are doing, and arent really cathing fish :grin: . I'll be there all week, after work.
