One of my fellow workers, Salvadore, was hit in a crosswalk this morning and is in the hospital. He is expected to live, but will be in the hospital for a while.
Please pray for healing for him and comfort for his family.

On behalf of Salvador and his family I wish to thank all of you for your prayers.
The injuries, although first appearing daunting, turned out to be massive contusions and bruises. There were no broken bones. This is remarkable since he was thrown some 30 feet by the impact.
All I can say is PRAYER WORKS! And, God is gracious.

God is good!! I have experienced more than my share of miracles in my life--both as a paramedic, and personally. I've never witnessed an impact of that magnitude result only in contusions and abrasions. Sounds like a miracle to me!!

I will pray for Salvadore's recovery. With massive abrasions and contusions--infection is a very real threat.
He will go through a process much like that of a burn patient. Let's all continue to pray for him--he'll need it.
