I fished a 2 day tournament with a club from Twin Falls, Idaho and launched and camped at Woodhead. The water temp was 42 in AM, warming to 48 in late afternoon. Suspending deep jerkbaits with LONG pauses were the ticket. A lot of guys were catching them on crankbaits, too. WE caught 30-40 fish per day and not a single one was under 12", but not many were over 14". Most fish were around 1.1-1.5#, but we weighed 3 fish around 2.3#.
We placed 3rd out of 35 with 19.23 lbs total. The winners had 22 and change, with a 4.11# kicker on the first day.
Brownlee is getting a ton of pressure right now- every point and cut had a boat on it. There were 4 tourneys there this weekend and there is a big open next weekend. But, the tourneys will slow down by the end of this month and the fishing will only get better!!
Overall, a great weekend- now, if my NCAA bracket wouldn't have gotten trashed.....
