I love the day after sales. I was able to get 2 new north river rods, 2 new abu garcia 5600 reels, a new scotty pole holder, a 30qt turkey/crab cooker kit, a new fillet knife set, and a rechargable spot light for about $250. I still have a few other items I want but, hey it's christmas time at my house. I know we are supposed to shop for others. But see, I think I did. Here's why. The spot light will help me get to my favorite spot early in the am. The rods and reels will catch the salmon my in laws love to eat. The knife will fillet them. The cooker will cooked the crab they love to eat. And the rod holder will hold the rod of a passanger in my boat, wich will mean I won't be alone, wich makes my wife less worried about me while I'm on the water. And in order to do all of that I get to fish. So the way i see it everyone wins. I just hope they see it that way. If not I still got some great new toys, even if I get coal from santa.

I did the same thing. Two new poles, two 6500 ambassador reels all for $150. I like your way of justifying everything, makes perfect sense to me. My girlfriend wishes I would stop buying things at least until after Christmas, she is fast running out of ideas. I told her cash was fine.

Coal=diamonds. I bet I could tell her it is to make a nice ring for her then right? Hey Andy, now that I have a set up, I need some help showing me how to use it properly. I had some success this year but always trying to up my game. It is hard with the new baby, but would love to fish with you sometime. And Matt, sorry dude I hit my limit for the year as far as spending goes. I'll keep you in mind though. As far as the girlfriends go. Leave cut-outs from adds of things you didn't buy or things that would be nice to get from her. I leave them in my wife's purse or in her coat pockets or other places I'm sure she will look. Just be carefull. You may not want to leave them in places like the silverware drawer. She might think you did it because you expect her to cook and clean for you. Of course if she likes that then who cares. Happy holidays everyone.
