So...I haven't been able to fish for about 2 weeks now, due to truck repairs etc...
So I get the opportunity this morning and I headed up to Daybreak on the EF of the lewis.
I get there....get the vest on, grab the rod...pat my back pocket to make sure i have my wallet, and that's when I realize I forgot my wallet/fishin license sittin on the counter at home. I was in such a rush this morning to wet a line that I just ran out the door with vest and pole in hand.......DOH!

A little late to head back up there now....keep thinkin all that rain is gonna be here any minute.....IT BETTER RAIN TODAY and NOT TOMORROW when I'm actually gonna fish, and not just drive around!

I have now put the fishin license in the vest.......I guess that's probably a better place for it anyways.

Not being a smart ***, but put it in your vest silly. Don't feel bad. I have done it as well until I decided I better put it in a ziplock with a good waterproof pen. There it still sits. Sorry to hear your misfortune. :depressed:

you can get a copy for about $6.50. that way one in the wallet and another one some where safe like the glove box. pretty cheap compared to a whole day lost to driving home.

I prefer to leave my elk tag at home before I depart on a 250 mile drive to my huntin' hole. NOT a happy person when I felt my pocket and realized what had happened!

I've done that a few times myself, and on one occasion I found out that I didn't have the license with me only when I caught a fish. Out of curiosity, what would a state trooper do if you've honestly forgotten to bring the license? I'm sure it can be verified, albeit not instantaneously.

It could be verified you did have a license but there wasn't anyway for you to tag your fish and they gots to be tagged as soon as you land one.
So I imagine he'd nail you for both no license in posession and failure to tag your feesh.

Ooh, I gots an idea. graemlins/idea.gif
