I want to take the wife to get her some action on chums and some fun for her. I know the rivers they are in but never persued them. Saw enough in Alaska. Where is a good place to go on Saturday?

There isn't any place in Oregon that's open for them.
I'm sure there are some running in Washington streams but I couldn't tell you which ones  Hoodsport area maybe.
It might be getting late for them.

Chum fishing closed on the 15th. Most are going to be soreheads that have just spawned or are about to..

Thanks gentlemen. I figured I could get my wife into a little fun. She got her first salmon on the Nehalem and loved it. I wanted her to feel the pull of the line. Looks like Wilson steel and Nooks.

Not sure if it's open right now....but...
Kennedy Creek up near Olympia is AWESOME for chum. It's right at Totten Inlet. Fish the mouth of the creek and up about 300yds or so.
Chartreuse corkie with same color yarn and about 1/4 oz of lead....just drift it, and they hammer it. It's a blast!!
