It was an early morning bite today, if we could only have gotten all our chances. Instead we ended up with "one a day".
My first pass this morning we mist one takedown, lost one at the boat and I had two bites on my backbouncer, one of which I let him take it too long, he was just taking it so good I let him run with it then I felt it pop off.
Next pass I got bit again on my rod but it fust took it down and dropped it.
Next pass we missed another one and then the last pass we landed one that still had one sea louse on it. Unfortunately it wasn't clipped so back it went.
Then that was it, no more bites so I moved up to the next hole thinking maybe they moved up.
I made a pass, no bites so back down I went. I should have made one more pass. The next guide boat that went through there hooked three. I must have been just ahead of the school.
At about 1 o'clock I had one more take down that didn't stick and that was it for the day.
The water is gettign pretty clear, you can see the bottom in six to eight feet of water. There was a little more moss today too.
