Brian was using corkies (hook was way down her mouth) down at the slough about 2 hours ago, caught this fine looking chromer, was 22 pounds!

Marie, BEAUUUUUTIFUL Fish.
You mentioned a bad word though, "Corkies".

Most die hard bobber fisherman would say, "probably snagged". Sure quiets em down when you hold that fish up and the corkies are enhaled deep enough you can't see em!!!
I try and run a little bait or scent with mine as well, but sometimes can't keep the bullheads off.
If anything the bullheads get cleared out (bushes) and everybody wins from clearing out the bait stealing little scoundrels!!

Thanks for posting the picture. That's one of the best looking Salmon this year. Brain deserves lots of fish like that one. I was fortunate enough to meet him this year and fish with him one afternoon. He shared a tip on how he was hooking up his egg & Sandshrimp set up while we were bobber fishing. It was the one he used for Springer fishing. I'll be giving it a try next Spring.
Brain if you see this reply I hope this is just the begining of many more like that one to come for you this season.
