Fisherfield and I are hitting a river somewhere sat. We'll be escorting our wee little ones in the
front-loader packs. We'd like a spot that's possibly fishable from the bank that's somewhat
easy to negotiate and even has some fish right
now. The thought of wading makes us both a little nervous. You never know when you might take a face plant, which would not be a good thing with a small infant attached to your chest.
Any ideas where we should venture?
Thanks,
GBS

Hmmmm i don't know about fish being there right now but you never know where a steelhead might be. The Washougal has goor easy bank access at the bowling alley..

Some of Josie's property(Lower Wilson) is extremely bank friendly, albeit a bit of a walk. But both you guys could handle it.That river has a lot of accessible holes.Whereever you go you are going to encounter crowds as the accessiblity factor pretty much determines the crowd number.

You can find good bank access on the Sandy River at Oxbow Park. Start at the boat ramp and work your way upriver - nice trail to walk, easy access to the water, and good fishing water. Should be some summer runs still in there.

GBS. Dodge Park on the Sandy is real easy access. Short strech of sand to walk across and a gentle slope at the waters edge. Parking lot is close to the waters edge. This is extremely handy when you are packing "little keepers"
