Today on my boat I had Mark Wernet, a jet propulsion scientis with NASA. Mark had never fished steelhead before, but that didn't stop him from taking home a limit of nice fish by 12:30. One ten eleven pound broodstock buck and one nine pound summer. Mark also lost a nice summer at the boat. All fish were hooked on peach cheaters with eggs.
It just seems that the Clack is on again off again, but when it's on it's pretty good and the fish are real nice. I know there are fish around, in the last half dozen trips I have seen several bright fish in tailouts as well as seen a few dark fish junp. It's hard to tell if other people are catching fish, there almost are no other people. Today there were only three other boats on the whole river and I did see one of them with a bright fish on.
